Richard Dawkins gives the BBC/OU Annual Lecture 2009: Darwin
Excellent presentation of the core personalities involved in the development of Darwin’s theory of evolution. Dawkins’ presents an account of the history of evolutionary theory prior to Wallace and Darwin independently proposing the origin of species by natural selection. He describes the extraordinary grace exhibited by both Wallace and Darwin on their exchanges that established Darwin’s primacy in establishing the theory.
This link also includes includes the Q&A session following the lecture.
If you enjoy steady, clear exposition and balanced historical account, then you will enjoy this immensely.
